In an exclusive revelation, prominent online creator Lily Phillips has opened up about her sexuality, confirming she is bisexual and expressing a stronger inclination towards building a future with a woman.
A New Chapter on Blind Matchmakers
The content creator, known for her bold online presence, has traditionally been private about her romantic life. This changes with her appearance on the new ITV dating show, Blind Matchmakers, where she explores connections with women for the first time. The programme's unique format involves contestants being blindfolded, relying solely on voice, personality, and humour to find a match, a stark contrast to shows like Love Island.
Speaking about the experience, Lily told the Mirror, "It was super fun, I've been on more dates with men, so it was good to see the other side." She found the concept of dating without visual judgement liberating, especially as someone often pre-judged for her career on social media.
Deeper Connections and Future Plans
Phillips was candid about the qualities she values, explaining her ideal relationship dynamic. "I think women's relationships are amazing," she shared. "You just won't ever find a connection like that with a man. Women, we understand each other more, I think. You're best friends, but you're also sexually attracted... that is my ideal relationship."
On the show, she formed a clear connection with fellow social media influencer Lani, describing their chemistry as undeniable. However, she clarified that while they have exchanged pleasant messages since filming, no concrete plans for future dates have been made.
Despite her revelations, Lily is in no rush to settle down. "I really like to focus on my career, and I think dating takes up so much time and effort," she stated, adding that she wants to be fully present when she does eventually commit to a partner. She did, however, confirm, "I do consider a high chance it might be a woman."
Navigating Public Perception and Vulnerability
Phillips also addressed the challenges of dating while being a public figure, admitting it has been "tricky". She often assumes potential dates know about her career, which can create a barrier to serious relationships. She views this as a useful filter, however, weeding out those who would not be supportive of her lifestyle.
Her participation in Blind Matchmakers showed a more vulnerable side, away from her lucrative adult content career. She described the difficulty of being scrutinised publicly but said she has developed a "learned skill" to handle online negativity, focusing on her supportive circle of friends, family, and others in the adult industry.
