Actress Lily James has been soaking up the Australian sun on a solo holiday, sharing a series of idyllic snaps from her restorative break. The 36-year-old star posted a gallery of images on Sunday, reflecting on her time at the exclusive Bedarra Island Resort near the Great Barrier Reef.
A Picturesque Island Escape
In the collection of photos, Lily James looked radiant and relaxed. One image captured her strolling along a pristine beach in a simple white bikini, while another showed her beaming from ear to ear during a boat ride, clad in a chic black two-piece. The actress clearly embraced the natural beauty and tranquillity of her surroundings.
She accompanied the photos with a heartfelt caption directed at the resort, writing: "@bedarraisland I won't forget you and natures power to heal and restore." This sentiment underscored the purpose of her trip, which followed a hectic period of work.
Making the Most of Summer
In earlier posts from the same trip, James was seen enjoying a picturesque sunset in a semi-sheer mini dress over her swimwear. For an evening out, she changed into an elegant plunging white ensemble. Embracing the Southern Hemisphere's summer, she captioned one post: "Winter I am not ready for you just yet."
The Pam & Tommy star appeared to be having the time of her life, stating she had "never been better" while posting the bikini-clad gallery to her Instagram followers.
Looking Ahead to 'Cliffhanger'
Following her rejuvenating holiday, Lily James is set to return to the big screen in a major new project. She will star in a reboot of the 1993 action thriller Cliffhanger, alongside Pierce Brosnan.
In the film, Brosnan and James play a father-daughter duo, Ray and Naomi, who run a mountain chalet in the Dolomites. Their peaceful life is shattered when, during a weekend trip with a billionaire's son, they are targeted by a gang of kidnappers. The official synopsis reveals that Naomi, "still haunted by a past climbing accident, witnesses the attack and escapes." She must then confront her fears to save her kidnapped father, fighting for survival in the treacherous Italian mountains.
The movie, which has been filming in Austria, Italy, and Germany, also features a supporting cast including Nell Tiger Free and Franz Rogowski. It is slated for release next year.
