Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson has made a grand romantic gesture, naming his luxury boat after his girlfriend, the rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
A Nautical Tribute
The basketball player, 35, shared a carousel of images on his Instagram this Sunday, which included a photo of the newly christened vessel, 'SS Stallion', docked on the water. In the snap, Megan Thee Stallion, 30, could be seen seemingly standing on the edge of the boat, admiring the view. This was followed by another image of Thompson sitting proudly inside the sleek craft.
This nautical naming is a clear sign of Thompson's devotion, blending his two great passions: his new girlfriend and his love for boating. Stallion has wholeheartedly embraced her boyfriend's hobby, frequently appearing in his social media posts that document their trips out on the water, whether they are fishing or simply lounging together on the boat.
Relationship Milestones
The boat name is just the latest development in their fast-moving romance. The couple, who first sparked dating rumours in July, have been increasingly public with their affection. Last week, Stallion shared a video of herself preparing a Thanksgiving dinner for Thompson and his family, signalling a significant step in their relationship.
Furthermore, last month, the 'Savage' hitmaker posted a photo that sent fans into a frenzy. The image showed two hands forming a heart shape with a pair of keys dangling in the middle, with a modern white house visible in the background. Fans were quick to speculate that one of the hands belonged to Thompson, leading to widespread belief that the couple have moved in together.
The comment section was flooded with supportive messages, with one fan writing, 'so happy for you', while another exclaimed, 'Okkkkkkkk future Mrs. Thompson we love to see a black woman happy and loved right!!'
From Bahamas Getaway to NBA Courtside
The lovebirds confirmed their relationship in July after rumours began when fans noticed Thompson in the background of Stallion's holiday photos from the Bahamas. Shortly after, they made their official debut as a couple during a New York City date night and then walked the red carpet hand-in-hand at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala.
Stallion has also stepped into the role of an NBA WAG, making her courtside debut in October at the Mavericks' preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers. She has since been seen supporting the four-time NBA champion at a regular-season game for his new team, the Dallas Mavericks, against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
