Kerry Katona's Beach Holiday After Miscarriage Heartbreak

Television personality Kerry Katona has been spotted enjoying a relaxing family holiday on the Costa del Sol with her boyfriend Paolo Margaglione and several of her children. The getaway comes shortly after the former Atomic Kitten star bravely opened up about experiencing two devastating miscarriages during a recent podcast interview.

Sun-Soaked Spanish Escape

The 45-year-old celebrity was photographed topping up her tan in a skimpy gold bikini during the Easter break, appearing to embrace the therapeutic benefits of the seaside retreat. Katona was seen receiving a professional massage directly on the beach while her family members played games nearby, creating a scene of tranquil family bonding against the Mediterranean backdrop.

Designer Details and Family Dynamics

Adding sophisticated touches to her beach attire, Katona accessorized with oversized black Dior sunglasses and carried a stylish Celine straw bag. Her blonde hair flowed freely before being swept into a low ponytail for her massage session. Meanwhile, her 33-year-old boyfriend Paolo showcased his athletic physique while going shirtless in pale pink shorts and sunglasses.

The holiday party included Katona's 19-year-old daughter Heidi, with whom she was photographed strolling along the shoreline. While it remains unclear exactly which of her other children joined the vacation, Katona is mother to five children from previous relationships: Molly (23), Lilly-Sue (22), Heidi (19), Max (17), and Dylan-Jorge (10). Paolo is father to two daughters, Milani and Nola, from a prior relationship.

Heartbreaking Miscarriage Revelations

The Spanish holiday follows Katona's emotional disclosure on Paul C Brunson's "Need To Talk" podcast, where she revealed suffering two miscarriages with current partner Paolo. The couple met while filming "Celebs Go Dating" around April 2025, and Katona unexpectedly became pregnant during production.

"Kerry was unknowingly pregnant at the finale of Celebs Go Dating," Paolo recounted during the interview. "I found out in the morning. I could smell it on her, like, weird. I said, 'You're pregnant.'"

Katona described the emotional rollercoaster: "We did a test in the night and it said no... I got up early, I'll go do my meditation so I won't wake him up and I peed on the stick. I ran and woke him up. Seven years I never fell pregnant."

The television personality shared the devastating aftermath: "And then the thought of having an abortion killed me. It felt like it was made from love... And unfortunately I miscarried and then we tried. And I'd miscarried again, only at four weeks. And I didn't realise how much I wanted it then."

Previous Pregnancy Loss and Health Challenges

This isn't the first time Katona has experienced pregnancy loss. In her memoir "Kerry Katona: Whole Again," she revealed suffering a miscarriage in 2015 following a brief romance after her ex-husband George Kay's death. The tragic situation required surgical intervention as the fetus remained in her womb.

Beyond reproductive health challenges, Katona recently endured a serious health scare diagnosed as colitis. "They said it's colitis. I've never even heard of it," she explained. "But it was horrendous, I thought I was in labour. Paolo wasn't in, he was at work, I had to ring an ambulance."

Relationship History and Future Plans

During the same podcast interview, Katona reflected on her previous engagement to Ryan Mahoney, which ended in November 2024 after six years together. She described feeling unhappy for much of the relationship and experiencing significant financial losses following their split.

Looking toward the future, Katona has confirmed plans to relocate to Spain in September with Paolo, though the decision has elicited mixed reactions from her children. "Paolo and I have decided we're moving to Spain in September and we've started looking at places," she revealed. "It's really exciting but I'm also nervous. I've told the kids and they've had mixed feelings."

The accelerated timeline stems partly from practical considerations, as her youngest son's school is scheduled to close in July. "Now we're running around trying to get her into a different school," Katona explained regarding the educational challenges.
