Katie Price has openly criticised her recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, stating that the interview did not go according to plan. The former glamour model, 47, described the segment as excessively serious and proceeding far too quickly for her liking.
Post-Interview Reflections on YouTube
In a new vlog uploaded to her YouTube channel, filmed immediately after the live broadcast, the mother-of-five expressed her dissatisfaction with how the interview unfolded. Katie directly addressed the camera, sharing her perspective on the experience.
"Oh my god, I was sitting there and they are trying to be serious, and I'm trying to be all happy and breezy," Katie explained. "Well they're trying to be really serious, which is cool, they can do it. But it went so quick! I didn't even feel I answered anything!"
She elaborated further, saying: "I only felt like I was on there for a minute! Like that... bombard, bombard, bombard. I'm like 'Yeah, yeah, and this, and this, and this!'"
Addressing Key Questions About Marriage and Health
When asked by the person filming her vlog if she could recall the questions posed during the interview, Katie rolled her eyes before responding. "They asked about my weight," she stated plainly.
She continued: "They asked 'Do I think it's too quick, what do my family and friends all think, the PhD!' I said no, he hasn't got it in Cambridge, it's somewhere else in Spain."
Defending Her Whirlwind Marriage to Lee Andrews
Katie married businessman Lee Andrews at the One&Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai this past January. The rapid nature of their relationship left her family, including her mother Amy Price, reportedly traumatised and prompted concern from fans who worried she didn't properly know her new husband.
During the GMB interview, presenter Susanna Reid admitted she would be concerned if she were a friend of Katie's, given the speed of the marriage. "If you were a friend of mine... I think I would be concerned about you," Susanna said. "I'm not sure you've had time to get to know the person to whom you are now married, so why the whirlwind?"
Katie responded emphatically: "Do you ever really know anyone? If you look at my past marriages, did I ever know they would be what they would be. Sometimes I don't think you can ever know who anyone is..."
She elaborated on her relationship history: "For me, I've gone through so much, so many different relationships, and I normally went from one to the other... before I've always been in toxic, coercive, controlling, mental abuse, physical abuse relationships."
"Now, I now know the signs of red flags and I am older, I can make my own decisions and there's nothing to say that you have to wait for anything," Katie asserted. "It's hard for anyone to understand. It just feels so right, I've only been in love twice before that, with Dane Bowers and Peter [Andre]. With Lee, it's so different to every other relationship, and it works for me."
Clarifying the Living Arrangements and Family Introductions
Katie explained that her current relationship dynamic differs significantly from her past ones. "Every relationship I've had I've met them, they've met the kids and moved in and they are just in my space and I want to have time for me to do things for me," she said.
"It works very well, he lives in Dubai - when I've got the kids, I've got the kids and when I haven't, then I can see him, and it just works well for me."
The media personality confirmed that Lee has yet to meet her family and children in person, clarifying: "They have all seen him on FaceTime. For me to introduce him to the kids, I won't be introducing them to him yet because I want to get to know him more myself."
Addressing Controversy Surrounding Lee Andrews' Background
Since announcing their marriage, Lee Andrews has faced accusations of being a scammer amid various claims about his life, including assertions that he is a millionaire businessman with a PhD from Cambridge University and connections to Elon Musk.
Katie has previously defended her husband against these allegations, telling The Sun: "I haven't gone for a con man... please be happy for me." She even told fans she had seen proof of his university degree and PhD, describing detailed paperwork with official stamps and watermarks that she believed could not be faked.
However, Cambridge University reportedly stated they could not find a record of Lee being registered as a student at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.
During her GMB appearance, Katie addressed this controversy directly. When host Ed Balls noted that Lee's passport indicates he's a doctor and that Cambridge University said they had never heard of him, Katie responded: "He doesn't have a PhD from Cambridge, it's one in Spain. That's for him to say that he's got his PhD, but it's not from Cambridge, I don't know where that came from, he hasn't got a PhD from Cambridge at all but he has got a PhD."
In her YouTube vlog, she further clarified: "In his thesis, or whatever it is called, that's from Cambridge, but the PhD was in Spain. So yeah I got that wrong. The PhD wasn't Cambridge, the thesis, he done at Cambridge, what I saw, the PhD he got in Spain."
Health Concerns and Medical Updates
The interview also touched upon concerns about Katie's weight, with many fans having expressed worry about her appearance in recent months. Susanna Reid directly addressed this during the broadcast, saying: "Katie, can I ask, because I am concerned about your weight. You are very, very, very skinny."
Katie responded positively to this line of questioning: "Yes, and I am glad you asked this!"
When Susanna asked if she had established whether she was at a healthy weight or possibly overusing weight loss medication, Katie provided a detailed health update. "People that follow me online will know I have lost weight. I recognise I have lost weight. I look too skinny, I look gaunt," she explained.
"So I have been to the doctors, to see why am I losing, I have done all the blood tests, I have even done the poo one, as well, to find out."
Katie continued: "I said to them, everyone said I am on Ozempic, they said, well we can tell in your bloods you're not. I am lacking in iron, they are now checking the other bit. And I am going through pre menopause at the moment as well."
She concluded her health update by reassuring viewers: "I am healthy, so nobody worry about me."
Susanna summarised: "You are healthy, and you are happy." To which Katie replied: "Yes, very happy."
