Comedian Katherine Ryan, 42, has disclosed that she had to abandon plans for a facelift with Kris Jenner's surgeon after being quoted £300,000. She also revealed that her husband, Bobby Kootstra, refused to speak to her when she underwent a similar procedure in the UK just eight weeks after giving birth.
Initial Consultation and Soaring Costs
Katherine, who has been open about her facelift performed last year in York, initially consulted with the American surgeon who later operated on Kris Jenner. Speaking on Olivia Attwood's podcast, Katherine said: 'When I first had my consult with him he had not yet done Kris Jenner but I suspected he had done some of these other Hollywood girls. So, it was $174,000. And I was like hmm, but in a way at least, you know, you're going to the best.'
After Kris Jenner revealed her youthful appearance in May 2025 following her facelift, Katherine called the clinic again, only to find the prices had skyrocketed. 'I rang back his assistant. I was like Courtney I need to get in. And she was like "oh he is $250k now or something". And then now it's over $300k and I thought...'
Opting for a UK Surgeon
Katherine then chose a UK-based doctor for her procedure, which cost between £22,000 and £23,000. She praised the surgeon, saying: 'He is amazing and really affordable I think. I mean, it's still going to be expensive, but he's so ethical.' During a follow-up appointment, she suggested he raise his prices, noting that another surgeon in London charges £110,000 to £120,000 and left a patient with cellulitis.
Husband's Disapproval
Before her surgery, Katherine revealed that her husband Bobby Kootstra was unsupportive. 'Bobby was an ass, he didn't speak to me the night that I left for York. It was me loading the car seat and the baby and my bag. They [men] think they know what plastic surgery looks like and actually they have no idea. They think it's like bride of wild Joselyn Wildenstein or something.'
Despite his reaction, Katherine is thrilled with the results: 'I just think my facelift is so beautiful. It's gorgeous. It's achieved exactly what I wanted.'
Kris Jenner's Facelift and Password System
Last October, Kris Jenner discussed her surgeon on a podcast, revealing they created a password for prospective patients to avoid unwanted calls. She said: 'He didn't want the attention, which I loved. I said, "But do I have your permission to say who you are?" And he goes, "Listen, I'll tell you what. As long as we can come up with a password so that if somebody calls and says, I'm Kris Jenner's best friend, and can I have a consultation? They have to say the secret password."'
However, reports suggest Kris is unhappy with her results nearly a year on, with a source claiming: 'Kris Jenner's facelift is already slipping. She is not happy with the results and is desperate to get a revision... Kris is mad as hell that Denise Richards and Lori Loughlin both look so good, and she feels hers is already fading in comparison.' Representatives for Jenner have been contacted for comment.
