Lorna Luxe opens up about struggles after husband's death

Social media influencer Lorna Luxe has revealed she is struggling to cope following the death of her husband, John Andrews, who passed away from cancer in February at the age of 64. The 43-year-old admitted she never had her own bank card and is finding it difficult to manage household bills and administrative tasks.

Speaking on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast, Luxe described the challenges she faced in the days after John's death. 'Day two of John dying I had to order a bank card because I didn't have one,' she said. She recounted trying to pay a bill using her late husband's banking app, only to be told by a bank employee that she needed her own account.

Luxe, who married John in 2009, explained that she had handed over all practical responsibilities to him during their 16-year marriage. 'Paying bills and doing practical stuff didn't really interest me. I found that quite boring. And he was very happy to do it for me,' she said. However, she noted that in the days before his death, John had expressed concern about her ability to cope alone.

'He really started to panic because he was like, 'you don't even know how to pay. You don't even have your own bank card. You don't know how to do these things,'' Luxe recalled. She admitted that she relied heavily on John and is now learning to manage affairs 'bit by bit' through bite-sized tasks, such as opening letters and dealing with each issue as it arises.
