Celebrity Hairstylist Fires Back Over Attention-Seeking Accusations
Nicola Peltz's former hairstylist Justin Anderson has issued a fiery denial that he has been discussing the actress for attention, while warning that he could potentially "call out big people" from his past. The celebrity hairdresser waded into the ongoing Beckham family feud this week, offering his thoughts on Brooklyn Beckham's bombshell statement about his parents David and Victoria.
Instagram Video Response to Backlash
In an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, Anderson hit back at fans who claimed he was speaking about Peltz to gain attention. "The PR part of all of that stuff is so weird," he said. "When it goes to the internet and you see the twisting and the way things happen, it's really really bizarre."
He continued with a pointed remark: "If I wanted attention, I would talk about really big people you know, people from my past or I would make a Reel on my page and try and get like a viral video. When I talk here, I'm trying to have fun with my buddies."
Previous Criticism of Nicola Peltz
This isn't the first time Anderson has spoken critically about the actress. In 2019, he branded Peltz "the worst of the worst" and a "monster" during a podcast appearance with Jackie Schimmel, vowing he would "never work with her again." The conflict reportedly stemmed from an alleged altercation during which Peltz claimed Anderson "burnt her hair off" while bleaching it for the Transformers: Age of Extinction press tour in 2014.
Anderson has worked with numerous high-profile clients including Miley Cyrus, Kelly Osbourne, Jennifer Aniston, and Katy Perry. He served as Peltz's colourist when she was promoting Michael Bay's Transformers film at age 18, playing Mark Wahlberg's on-screen daughter Tessa Yeager.
Comments on Brooklyn Beckham's Statement
Earlier in the week, Anderson reacted to Brooklyn Beckham's public statement about his parents, expressing sadness about the situation. "You can't take that back, the whole world is watching," he noted on Instagram. "Why do it? I know why I think it was done. It seems like someone is putting him up to it and being like, 'you better publicly say something and make them look bad because I don't want to be the evil one.'"
The hairstylist doubled down on his past comments about Peltz, calling her "not nice" and stating with "full chest" that she has "not good energy." He referenced her multiple wedding planners as evidence, saying "Based on how many wedding planners she went through I think she's the issue."
Background of the Conflict
The tension between Anderson and Peltz dates back several years, with sources close to the actress alleging that the hairstylist damaged her hair during the bleaching process. Anderson was reportedly fired from his role as her colourist following the incident.
In his 2019 podcast comments, Anderson said: "I remember this one time the worst of the worst of the worst, there was this one little diva girl... She was the new Transformer girl, her name was Nicola Peltz, turns out she's from a really wealthy family and it was like she was supposed to be the new IT girl but she has disappeared now. She is actually a monster."
Current Beckham Family Dynamics
The public statement from Brooklyn Beckham that prompted Anderson's comments revealed deep family divisions. Brooklyn claimed he has been "controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else" and that since being with Nicola Peltz, he has found "peace and relief" after battling crippling anxiety.
Brooklyn and his wife have reportedly missed several significant family events in recent months, including Sir David Beckham's 50th birthday celebration and knighthong ceremony. The couple's relationship with the Beckham family has become increasingly strained, with Brooklyn asserting that "Brand Beckham comes first" in his parents' priorities.
Anderson reflected on seeing the couple get married, saying "I perked up when I saw they were getting married. I'm like, 'oh gosh this is not going to be good for that family.' Spooky energy." He added: "When someone is not nice it always comes out. You can't hide that."
