Julianne Hough Flaunts Figure in Costa Rica & Reveals Motherhood Dreams
Julianne Hough's Costa Rica Getaway & Motherhood Plans

Julianne Hough, the celebrated dancer and former star of Dancing With The Stars, has been soaking up the sun on a picturesque getaway in Costa Rica. The 37-year-old shared a series of vibrant snapshots from her tropical retreat on Instagram this Sunday, offering fans a glimpse into her idyllic vacation.

Sun-Soaked Snapshots from Paradise

The performer, originally from Utah, appeared to be having the time of her life, dancing exuberantly in a skimpy leopard-print string bikini. One particularly eye-catching photo showed Hough showcasing her pert backside while standing on a pristine white sand beach, a testament to her impeccably toned figure. The album wasn't just about solo shots; it also featured moments with friends, a look at the local cuisine, and even an adventurous, mud-covered Jeep ride through the jungle, for which she added a miniskirt to her ensemble.

This escape provides a sunny contrast to her life in Los Angeles, where she owns a home. The holiday photos reveal a star fully embracing relaxation and adventure far from her usual routine.

'My Ovaries Are Screaming': Hough's Candid Motherhood Confession

The scenic vacation comes just months after Hough made a heartfelt revelation about her personal life. During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the dancer – who finalised her divorce from Brooks Laich in 2022 and is currently single – spoke openly about her strong desire to start a family.

'My ovaries are screaming. I'm ready to be a mom,' she confessed. This feeling has been amplified by the recent arrival of her brother Derek Hough and his wife Hayley Erbert's newborn daughter, Everley Capri Hough. Julianne stated that seeing her brother become a parent has given her a new perspective. 'To be at this stage of my life while he's having a baby, I'm just seeing it through different eyes,' she explained.

Hough predicted her new niece will be 'the most creative, talented genius on the planet' and is eager to step into the role of 'Aunt Juju,' promising to be there to support her brother on his parenting journey.

Life Lessons from the Dance Floor

In a recent conversation with Us Weekly, Julianne reflected on how her long-standing dance career, which began on Dancing with the Stars in 2007, has profoundly shaped her. She credits the discipline with teaching her invaluable 'life lessons.'

'There were definite life lessons along the way,' Hough stated. '[Learning] dance and technique professionally are important, but [also we learned] the life lessons of resilience and tenacity and how to show up and add value, how to be connected to your uniqueness. All of those things shaped us, from our guides and our mentors.'

Interestingly, her brother Derek shares a similar sentiment. The TV personality, who married Hayley in 2023, believes his dance training was instrumental in forming his character. 'My coaches, my mentors [and] a lot of the lessons that I've learned [from the dance studio made me] who I am today as a man, and as a person,' he said, acknowledging the influence of his teachers. Despite this positive outlook, Derek has previously admitted to placing immense pressure on himself during his younger years.

Julianne Hough's Costa Rican adventure perfectly captures a moment of joy and relaxation for the star, even as she looks ahead to the next, deeply personal chapter of her life.
