Julia Morris Declares She's Happiest Ever and Sworn Off Dating Forever
Julia Morris: Happiest Ever, Sworn Off Dating Forever

Television personality Julia Morris has made a startling revelation about her personal life, declaring she has permanently sworn off romantic relationships and is experiencing unprecedented happiness in her current single status.

A Life Transformed After Marriage

The popular host of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! was married to British comedian Dan Thomas for seventeen years, from 2005 until their separation in 2022. Now, at 57, Morris has firmly closed the door on dating with a surprising explanation for her contentment.

'Happiness is leaking out of me now,' Morris told TV Week magazine. 'People ask, "Have you met someone?" and I respond, "Absolutely not – and that's precisely why I look so fantastic!"'

Embracing a New Chapter

Morris elaborated on her current mindset, expressing complete satisfaction with her life's trajectory and absolutely no intention of pursuing another partnership.

'I have zero desire to meet anyone, ever!' she stated emphatically. 'I experienced a substantial amount of life before marrying at 35, then entered a different phase during marriage. Now, I'm fortunate to be living an entirely new chapter all over again.'

The television host explained that her priorities have fundamentally shifted. She is now wholly dedicated to being present for her two daughters, Ruby, 18, and Sophie, 16.

Finding Happiness Through Adversity

Reflecting on recent years, Morris acknowledged a period of significant personal challenges but emphasised her resulting personal growth.

'I'm undoubtedly the happiest I've ever been, though I couldn't have predicted feeling this way when I began this journey four years ago,' she confessed.

'The past few years brought my marriage breakdown, the loss of my father, and Dr Chris Brown's departure from the jungle. All my significant men! But that's simply the natural ebb and flow of existence, isn't it?'

Morris offered philosophical advice drawn from her experiences: 'You must sit with these experiences; there's no shortcut. Playing the blame game is futile. Instead, be self-reflective and commit to making personal changes.'

Hints of a Difficult Separation

In July 2024, during an appearance on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Morris hinted that her split from Dan Thomas was acrimonious, though she deliberately avoided divulging specific details about their divorce.

'Oh, there's always more to the story behind a separation,' she told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson. 'It's never as simple as people just deciding, "You know what, let's break up."'

Morris stressed her commitment to discretion, stating: 'I refuse to disrespect him and his life, and most importantly, I won't disrespect my children by truly opening Pandora's box.'

Deflecting Intrusive Questions

When pressed by host Kyle Sandilands about potential bitterness surrounding the breakup, Morris remained resolutely private.

Sandilands remarked, 'I know you joke around, but I sense some bitterness there.'

Morris firmly dismissed the probing, replying, 'It was three years ago.' When Sandilands countered with 'Quite fresh,' she retorted, 'No, I don't consider it fresh at all.'

Through her candid revelations, Julia Morris presents a portrait of a woman who has found profound contentment and purpose in single life, prioritising motherhood and personal peace over any future romantic entanglements.
