Jules Neale, the wife of Brisbane Lions AFL star Lachie Neale, has been seen visibly distressed in a Brisbane café, just days after returning to the city following the breakdown of her marriage.
Emotional Café Sighting in Norman Park
On Tuesday, Jules Neale was spotted back in Brisbane, where she visited The Grumpy Monkey Coffee Nook in Norman Park. Staff at the eatery reported seeing the 35-year-old hairstylist fighting back tears during her visit, with one worker telling the Advertiser that Jules was 'crying' before making a hasty exit.
This public display of emotion followed her arrival in the city, where she was seen loading her car with moving boxes. Video later shared on TikTok appeared to show the blonde beauty covering her eyes before escaping in a vehicle.
Marriage Breakdown and Betrayal Allegations
The sighting comes after months of speculation about the state of her marriage to the Brownlow Medal-winning footballer. Rumours first surfaced in December, with Jules taking to social media to set the record straight.
She firmly denied reports that the couple were 'working through' their issues, instead alleging a profound betrayal. "I want to make it very clear that I am not 'working through' anything," she wrote. "I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is to heal and do what's best for my children."
Following this statement, she deleted every photo of Lachie from her Instagram account. The couple share two children: four-year-old daughter Piper and son Freddie, who was born in December 2024.
Moving On and the Role of a Friend
Evidence suggests Jules is in the process of moving out of the family home. The garage of her Brisbane residence was reportedly packed with moving boxes from 'Ben Moves Brisbane', while a box trailer waited outside.
Her father has been assisting her, notably helping load an SUV with boxes and large stuffed toys during a trip to a Carindale shopping centre on Monday. During this outing, Jules appeared tense and was not wearing her wedding ring.
The split has drawn attention to Tess Crosley, a 29-year-old married mother-of-one and Mormon missionary, who is understood to be a close friend of Jules. Crosley has been named in connection with the split and has reportedly stunned members of her conservative Church of Latter-day Saints by openly engaging with media attention, including posting bikini photos on Instagram.
She was also seen without her wedding ring this week while collecting items from her Brisbane family home and is believed to be staying with her parents on the Gold Coast. There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Tess Crosley.
Neither Jules nor Lachie Neale has made any further public comment on the situation since Jules's initial social media post.
