Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter made a stunning appearance at the annual Football For Change awards this Saturday, showcasing a glamorous look while candidly discussing her personal journey with body image after becoming a mother for the second time.
Stepping Out in Style for a Cause
The 37-year-old television icon, who is engaged to Oliver Piotrowski, 35, turned heads on the red carpet. She wore a chic black bodysuit featuring a ruffled bodice, which she paired with a sophisticated sheer lace blazer. Completing her ensemble, the blonde star opted for a full face of glamorous makeup and wore her hair in a simple style with a slight flick at the ends.
The event itself, the Football For Change awards gala, is a key annual fundraiser dedicated to supporting children and young people growing up in poverty. The initiative, co-launched by former Everton player Toni Duggan in 2021, attracts significant support from a host of celebrities and sports personalities.
A Candid Confession on Motherhood and Identity
Porter's glamorous outing comes after she recently shared a heartfelt admission about her struggles with self-perception. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the actress, who was voted Sexiest Female in 2012, revealed she has been finding it challenging to feel sexy again after the birth of her daughter, Peony, in December 2024.
Jorgie attended the gala with her fiancé Oliver, with whom she shares two children: her newborn daughter, Peony, and her two-year-old son, Forest. She humorously described being in a "baby bubble" at home with "no makeup and messy hair," which made the transition back to her on-screen character, Theresa McQueen, feel peculiar.
"I feel so lucky to have been asked to do this one but trying to be sexy again feels so weird!" she told the publication. "When you’re at home with no make up on and your hair is a mess and all of a sudden, I have got to switch to 'Sexy Theresa.' I’ve got to find it and get that back somehow. How do I be sexy again? I can’t just be sexy!"
Celebrity Support and Personal Strength
The star-studded evening was also graced by other famous faces, including Peter Crouch and Paddy McGuinness, who both looked dapper in sharp black suits. Toni Duggan, a driving force behind the charitable organisation, made her own style statement in a stunning brown dress with a structured bodice and a delicate lace skirt.
When it comes to keeping fit, Jorgie has discovered an unconventional but effective workout routine. She revealed that she doesn't currently need to visit the gym because her children are constantly "demanding to be lifted," which has naturally built her strength.
"Why would I go to the gym at the moment - because at home I’ve got my two heavy weights already," she joked. "I am older now so I’m like: 'My back hurts!' But I am so strong now. I have two children who want to be carried."
Jorgie Porter, who first played Theresa McQueen in 2008, continues to navigate the beautiful chaos of motherhood while making a stylish return to the public eye and supporting impactful charitable causes like Football For Change.
