The wife of Jack Osbourne has publicly addressed his decision to join I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! just months after the death of his legendary father, Ozzy Osbourne, countering claims that his participation has come 'too soon'.
'It's Helpful': Aree Osbourne's Support
Speaking on the ITV spin-off show I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked, Aree Osbourne broke her silence on her husband's jungle venture during what she described as a 'very difficult time in his life'. When questioned about the timing, she offered a surprising perspective, stating, "Yeah, and I think it's kind of a funny time to be doing something like this, but it's helpful."
Her comments come as a direct rebuttal to public figures who have expressed concern for Jack's wellbeing. The rocker's son entered the Australian jungle in November 2025, a mere four months after his father Ozzy passed away in July at the age of 76.
The 'Too Soon' Criticism from Fellow Stars
Not everyone shares Aree's positive view. Both last year's campmate Dean McCullough and jungle spin-off show regular Alison Hammond have voiced their unease about Jack's appearance so soon after his bereavement.
Alison Hammond previously stated on Unpacked, "I actually feel it’s too soon for him to be in the jungle." She elaborated, telling host Joel Dommett that she found it "quite painful seeing his pain on camera."
Echoing this sentiment, Radio 1 host Dean McCullough said, "Just looking at him, I don't think he should be in there. It's too soon. His dad only died in July, and it's such a volatile, nerve-wracking place." In response to this emotional toll, it has been reported that ITV is monitoring Jack under its duty of care responsibilities.
Emotional Moments and Kitchen Clashes
Viewers have indeed witnessed Jack's raw grief firsthand. He was recently seen breaking down in tears on fellow campmate Eddie Kadi's shoulder. Reflecting on the moment, Jack explained, "Yesterday was a bit of a delicate day for me… I was doing OK, and then I realised it was the four months since my dad died. Had a good cry with Eddie… but ultimately I’m happy, I’m really happy I’m here."
Aree also provided a lighter, domestic insight into her husband's jungle behaviour, specifically his takeover of camp kitchen duties, which has already led to a clash with campmate Kelly Brook. "What I found really funny when the show started was how he made himself the camp chef," Aree shared, "and I noticed how all the women sort of realised that he kind of micro managed in the kitchen, and he is most certainly like that at home."
Before entering the jungle, Jack himself acknowledged the challenge of being away from Aree and their four children, but expressed his hope that he could make his family proud.
