Kelly Osbourne has expressed her sadness after her brother, Jack Osbourne, was the only contestant on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! not to receive a cherished letter from home during Sunday night's episode.
Challenge Failure Leads to Disappointment
In the 30 November instalment of the ITV reality series, campmates faced a task to win the letters. To secure Jack's note, fellow celebrities Martin Kemp, Aitch, and Vogue Williams had to answer a question correctly in the 'Blender Defenders' game.
The trio were asked how old Jack was when he began filming the family's iconic reality show, The Osbournes. After providing an incorrect answer, they were forced to watch helplessly as Jack's personal letter from his family was shredded in a blender.
Kelly Osbourne's Emotional Reaction
Sharing her thoughts in a video posted to her Instagram story, Kelly, 41, addressed fans directly. "I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted to keep Jack in the jungle, he's doing really well," she said.
She continued, "He's doing so well. I'm so sad he didn't get his letter from the family. But he took it really, really well." Kelly also commented on the recent elimination of comedian Eddie Kadi, adding, "But I'm even more sad Eddie's left the jungle cause I loved Eddie. This sucks."
Jack's Stoic Response and Campfire Reflections
Faced with the emotional setback, Jack, who is married to wife Aree and is a father to four daughters, demonstrated remarkable composure. As his ten fellow campmates opened their messages, he explained his mindset. "In this experience, you kind of have to hang up emotion. I'd rather just be in this, suck it up, fight it," he stated.
During his time in the Australian jungle, Jack has also opened up about the recent passing of his legendary father, Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath frontman died in July at the age of 76, just two weeks after performing a farewell concert at Birmingham's Villa Park.
Speaking to fellow contestant Riley around the campfire, Jack grew visibly emotional. "It was definitely a shock, I mean we knew he was sick for a while but it was definitely a shock, we didn't know it would be that quick," he reflected. "It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, alright I'm done."
Jack also shared what he believed his father's reaction would be to seeing him on the show, saying warmly, "He'd be so supportive of this."
