Despite the scare, he maintained a light-hearted tone, quickly assuring concerned fans: 'I’m all good tho and don’t have rabies.'

The images also showed Oscar celebrating Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colours, which took place on Wednesday. This vibrant event, marked by throwing colourful powders, symbolises the arrival of spring and seasonal joy. His holiday snaps featured stunning backdrops before the monkey incident unfolded.

Understanding Rabies Risks

According to the World Health Organisation, rabies is a nearly 100% fatal viral disease affecting the central nervous system. It is transmitted through saliva via bites or scratches from infected animals, such as dogs or bats. Initial symptoms include fever, headache, and pain at the exposure site, progressing to agitation, confusion, hydrophobia, and excessive saliva. Immediate post-exposure treatment with vaccine and immunoglobulin is crucial, as the virus becomes fatal once symptoms appear.

Oscar joined Hollyoaks in 2023, taking over the role of Lucas Hay from William Hall. Lucas is the son of characters Ste Hay and Amy Burns. Prior to this, Oscar had several smaller acting roles, and he has been actively documenting his travels and experiences on social media.
