Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has publicly blasted her ex-partner, footballer Scott Sinclair, after he failed to attend their young son's Christmas nativity play. The 35-year-old actress branded Sinclair a 'piece of s***' in a furious social media rant, just hours before she was spotted looking stony-faced heading to her pantomime performance in Liverpool.
Instagram Outburst Over Missed School Play
The row erupted on Tuesday when Helen took to her Instagram Stories to criticise Sinclair. Her anger was triggered after the Bristol Rovers player shared posts from a weekend trip to Abu Dhabi, where he attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix and saw Lando Norris win his first Drivers' Championship title.
Re-sharing Sinclair's post, which featured the caption 'Happy Days, blurry nights..', Flanagan raged: 'You really are a piece of s***. How dare you not turn up to Charlie's nativity.' The couple's son, Charlie, is four years old.
In contrast to her ex's glamorous Grand Prix photos, Helen shared a tender snap of herself cuddling Charlie, captioning it: 'Loved Charlie's nativity. My star, my heartbeat.'
A Tense Arrival for The Wicked Queen
Less than 24 hours after the online outburst, Helen was photographed arriving at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena for her performance as The Wicked Queen in Snow White & The Seven Dwarves. She cut a casual figure in a black top and leggings, carrying a faux-fur trimmed jacket over her arm.
The actress wore minimal make-up and had her hair scraped back into a bun. Her expression was described as stony-faced as she made her way to the venue, seemingly still affected by the familial dispute.
Helen and Scott Sinclair split in 2022 after 13 years together. They share three children: daughters Matilda, 10, and Delilah, seven, as well as their son Charlie.
Reality TV Return and 'Fireworks'
This personal drama comes amid reports that Helen Flanagan has signed up for the MTV dating show Celebrity Ex On The Beach. A source told The Sun that Helen was 'excited' to join the series and intended to 'cause some fireworks'.
'She is a massive signing for MTV and they know what she can bring to the table,' the insider said. 'Helen is sexy, feisty, and won't hold back on the show.' The actress was reportedly abroad filming scenes for the programme last month.
This marks another foray into reality TV for Flanagan, who has previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating, I'm A Celebrity... and Celebrity Super Spa.
