Soap star Helen Flanagan has launched a blistering public attack on her ex-partner, footballer Scott Sinclair, after he failed to attend their young son's school nativity play.
Instagram Outburst Over Missed Milestone
The fiery exchange unfolded on social media this Tuesday. Flanagan, 35, took to her Instagram Stories to criticise Sinclair after he shared posts from a weekend trip to Abu Dhabi, where he attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Re-sharing a post from Sinclair's account, which featured snaps of him watching Lando Norris win his first Drivers' Championship title, Flanagan did not hold back. She raged: 'You really are a piece of s***. How dare you not turn up to Charlie's nativity.'
In stark contrast, the former Coronation Street actress later posted a sweet photo of herself cuddling their four-year-old son, Charlie, with the caption: 'Loved Charlie's nativity. My star, my heartbeat.'
Post-Split Tensions and New Ventures
The couple, who were together for 13 years before splitting in 2022, share three children: daughters Matilda, 10, and Delilah, seven, as well as son Charlie. The very public spat highlights the ongoing tensions in their co-parenting relationship.
This incident follows recent reports that Flanagan has signed up for the MTV reality show Celebrity Ex On The Beach. A source claimed the actress is intending to 'cause fireworks' on the programme, which is set to introduce her to a new audience.
Flanagan's pursuit of love continues on screen, having previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating. She was most recently dating Robbie Talbot until May of this year.
Tell-All Book and Moving Forward
The model and actress has also recently made a pointed dig at Sinclair, suggesting she would rather 'drown' than reconcile with the 36-year-old Bristol Rovers footballer.
Flanagan is preparing for a significant personal reveal with her upcoming autobiography, Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, due for release on January 29, 2025. She has promised a raw account with 'no glossing over or airbrushing,' stating she has had to 'dig deep into experiences I’d have much rather left buried.'
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for both Scott Sinclair and Helen Flanagan for comment regarding the nativity play incident.
