Influencers' Vogue Living shoot puzzles fans with warped vinyl detail
Fans spot warped vinyl in influencers' Vogue Living shoot

Fans of a former Neighbours star and her comedian boyfriend have been left scratching their heads after spotting a curious detail in a glossy magazine photoshoot of their home.

The Puzzling Photo Detail

Sarah Ellen, 27, and Matt Ford, 30, shared a gallery of images from a feature in Vogue Living magazine, showcasing their cosy apartment in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The couple, who publicly confirmed their romance in March 2024, joked in the Instagram caption about the stylists cropping out the mess. However, it was a seemingly styled corner that caught the sharp eyes of Ellen's 784,000 followers.

One image featured a retro-style record player positioned by a sunlit window with a sea view. On the turntable sat a visibly warped vinyl record. The odd detail did not go unnoticed, sparking a wave of bemused comments on the couple's joint post.

Fan Reaction and Apartment Highlights

Followers were quick to question the warped album. "WTAF is going on with that warped record in your turnie?!" wrote one, while another lamented, "RIP that poor melted vinyl." A third simply asked, "Why is the record warped?" suggesting the heat from the sun-drenched window may have been the culprit.

Other shots from the shoot showed the couple posing casually by a brown couch. Ellen wore stone-washed jeans and a white top, while Ford, a member of the comedy duo Inspired Unemployed, opted for a pink crew neck and dark jeans.

According to the accompanying Vogue Living story, their two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is in a 1960s block designed by famed architect Harry Seidler. The apartment boasts wall-to-wall windows, original parquetry flooring, and designer pieces including a 1969 Italian ‘Kazuki’ chair and a cognac 'Float' sofa by Ellison Studios.

A Hard-Launched Romance

The feature offers a glimpse into the life of the couple, whose relationship became public knowledge just months earlier. In March 2024, Ellen "hard-launched" her romance with Ford on Instagram with a series of black-and-white photo booth pictures.

She captioned the post with a simple rock emoji, while Ford commented, "Houston we have a problem" alongside a heart. Their famous friends, including Jade Yarbrough and Pip Edwards, expressed their delight at the pairing in the comments.

Matt Ford, alongside Jack Steele, makes up the Australian comedy duo Inspired Unemployed, known for their satirical Instagram account which has amassed two million followers.
