Cruz Beckham Reveals: 'We Woke Up Blocked' by Brooklyn on Instagram
Cruz Beckham says Brooklyn blocked family on Instagram

In a dramatic public statement, Cruz Beckham has clarified the nature of a reported social media snub within one of Britain's most famous families, revealing that he and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, were blocked by his older brother, Brooklyn.

The Social Media Clarification

Following rumours that football legend David and fashion designer Victoria had unfollowed their eldest son on Instagram, their youngest son, Cruz, took to his own Instagram Stories to correct the narrative. Cruz, 20, posted a clear denial, writing: "NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I." This direct intervention from the younger Beckham sibling confirms an active digital barrier erected by Brooklyn, 26.

A Timeline of Growing Tensions

Reports of a rift within the Beckham clan first surfaced in April 2025, initially centred on Brooklyn and his brother Romeo, 23. The tension is believed to have stemmed from Romeo's relationship with Kim Turnbull, who had previously been linked to Brooklyn. Although Romeo and Turnbull reportedly ended their seven-month relationship in June, the family dynamics appeared strained.

The speculation intensified significantly in May when Brooklyn and his wife, actor Nicola Peltz, were absent from the star-studded guest list at David's 50th birthday celebrations. The couple also skipped Victoria's Paris Fashion Week show in June, with reports from TMZ suggesting Turnbull's presence at the event was the reason.

Notable Absences and Public Statements

The divide was further highlighted by several key family events. In August, David and Victoria did not attend when Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their marriage vows just three years after their wedding. Brooklyn addressed the ongoing rumours in September, telling the Daily Mail: "There’s always going to be people saying negative things, but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy."

Perhaps the most conspicuous absence came in October with the release of Victoria's Netflix documentary series, 'Victoria Beckham'. While siblings Romeo, Cruz, and 14-year-old Harper all featured prominently, Brooklyn was largely missing, appearing only in archival childhood clips. He was also not present at the documentary's London premiere, where his parents posed with their other three children.

This is not the first time rumours have swirled around Nicola Peltz's relationship with her mother-in-law. In 2022, she was reported to be at odds with Victoria after choosing a Valentino wedding dress over one from Victoria's own label. Peltz has denied this, explaining to Variety that Victoria's atelier was ultimately unable to create the dress.

The Beckham family feud continues to captivate public attention, moving from whispered rumours to a very public social media blockade, as confirmed by Cruz Beckham's candid post.
