Courtney Stodden Reveals Dramatic Hair Transformation After $20k Nose Job
Courtney Stodden Shows Off New Brunette Hair After Surgery

Courtney Stodden has revealed yet another significant transformation to her appearance, showcasing a striking new brunette hairstyle just weeks after undergoing a major $20,000 nose surgery. The 31-year-old media personality and activist, who campaigns against underage marriages, took to Instagram on Friday to share a sunset beach photo that displayed her dramatic hair change.

A Striking New Look

The Instagram post featured Stodden posing in a stringy brown bikini on a picturesque beach at sunset, with her newly dyed brunette locks creating a sharp contrast to her usual blonde hair. Her caption simply declared 'New year! New hair!' to her 323,000 followers, showcasing the straight, damp-ended hairstyle that marked a significant departure from her previous appearance.

Recent Surgical Procedures

This hair transformation follows Stodden's recent surgical procedures last fall, which included revision rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and facial fat grafting. The media personality shared her recovery process online, expressing gratitude to her surgical team and noting 'I feel so amazing just one week post-op.' She particularly highlighted improved breathing and sense of smell following the surgeries.

This represents Stodden's second nose procedure, having previously undergone surgery in 2016 to remove a bump. Her cosmetic history also includes breast augmentation at age 18 in 2013, fourteen years of lip fillers (which she dissolved in 2025), and porcelain veneers.

Activism Against Underage Marriage

Beyond her physical transformations, Stodden continues her passionate activism against underage marriages, drawing from her personal experience of marrying ex-husband Doug Hutchinson when she was just 16 and he was 51 in 2011. Her parents legally signed off on the wedding at the time.

'I don't want this to happen to anyone else, and it scares me,' Stodden told People magazine last year, pointing out that underage marriage with parental permission remains legal throughout more than half of the United States. She added 'We're the hotbed for the dirty little secret, which are pedophiles marrying our children legally in the United States, so that's why I'm speaking out.'

Personal Reflections and Current Life

Stodden's divorce from Hutchinson was finalized in 2020, and she married Jared Safier, 43, in 2024. Her experiences inspired the Lifetime biopic I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story, which she produced alongside her husband.

Reflecting on watching her life story portrayed on screen, Stodden shared 'I'm glad I did it, but boy, it's been hard to watch it. It's something I've lived through, and it's the PG version, it's the TV version. A lot of scenes were cut because it was too much for TV.' She concluded 'It's the craziest story I've ever heard, and it's my own.'

In recent Instagram posts preceding her hair reveal, Stodden shared beach photos in a black bikini with the caption 'I feel safe with myself lately,' indicating a period of personal growth and self-acceptance alongside her ongoing physical transformations and advocacy work.
