Cheryl, the former Girls Aloud star, has revealed the one parenting rule she refuses to bend on while raising her six-year-old son, Bear. The singer, who shares Bear with ex-partner Liam Payne, has always been fiercely protective of her family life—but there’s one thing she absolutely won’t compromise on.
Cheryl’s Non-Negotiable Parenting Rule
In a rare insight into her life as a mum, Cheryl explained that her top priority is ensuring Bear’s happiness and emotional well-being. "There are no second chances when it comes to his happiness," she said. "That’s my non-negotiable."
The 40-year-old star admitted that while she tries to keep a balance between work and motherhood, Bear’s emotional health always comes first. "I’ve learned to say no to things that take me away from him for too long," she shared.
Life as a Single Mum
Since her split from Liam Payne in 2018, Cheryl has taken on the role of a single mother—and she’s embraced it wholeheartedly. "It’s not always easy, but it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done," she confessed.
Despite her fame, Cheryl has worked hard to give Bear a normal upbringing, shielding him from the spotlight as much as possible. "I want him to grow up knowing he’s loved for who he is, not because of who his parents are," she said.
Cheryl’s Future Plans
While Cheryl has stepped back from the music scene in recent years, she hasn’t ruled out a return—on her own terms. "If I do anything, it has to fit around Bear," she explained. "That’s my priority now."
For now, she’s content focusing on motherhood and cherishing every moment with her son. "Time goes so fast—I don’t want to miss a thing," she added.
