Brad Pitt Celebrates 62nd Birthday Quietly with Girlfriend Ines de Ramon
Brad Pitt's low-key 62nd birthday with Ines de Ramon

Hollywood icon Brad Pitt celebrated his 62nd birthday on Thursday with a characteristically understated gathering, opting for a quiet day with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, and a small circle of close friends.

A Peaceful Celebration

A source close to the actor revealed to the Daily Mail that the F1: The Movie star is spending his big day with 32-year-old live-in girlfriend Ines de Ramon. The insider described the couple as being "more in love than ever" and "getting along just great."

De Ramon, who is reportedly an excellent cook, was set to make the occasion extra special for the Oscar winner. "Brad likes to be low key these days, so there will be no over-the-top JLo type party with costumes and five tier cakes," the source explained. The timing is particularly sweet, as de Ramon herself turns 33 on December 19th, meaning the pair's birthdays are just a day apart.

This birthday holds added poignancy for Pitt, as it is his first since his mother, Jane Pitt, passed away in August at the age of 84. The actor is said to be savouring "some much-needed down time" before he begins work on a new film project in the coming year.

Looking to the Future

Pitt, who was previously married to actress Angelina Jolie, has been in a relationship with de Ramon since 2022. Friends say he is firmly focused on the future. "Brad is happy to have her by his side and is focused on the future," a source told Entertainment Tonight earlier in 2024. "He's trying not to let any worries or issues from the past get to him."

Another insider told People that the actor "finally feels happy again," after years of feeling lonely despite being surrounded by friends. "Sharing his life and living with Ines now makes him very happy. Ines is great. She doesn't come with any baggage and is able to just support him," the source added.

The couple, who made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, have fully moved in together, purchasing a new home in the Hollywood Hills. The $12 million Spanish-style estate boasts upgraded security features, a priority for Pitt following a burglary at his previous Los Feliz mansion in May.

Legal Battles in the Rearview

Pitt's current contentment stands in contrast to the protracted legal disputes with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie. The former couple remain embroiled in a bitter battle over the sale of their co-owned French wine estate, Chateau Miraval.

In a significant development just before his birthday, a Los Angeles judge sided with Pitt, ordering Jolie to hand over a trove of emails and texts concerning her 2021 decision to sell her stake in the vineyard to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler for $67 million without Pitt's consent. Pitt had argued they had a mutual agreement that neither would sell without the other's approval.

Superior Court Judge Lia Martin gave Jolie 45 days to comply with the order for 22 documents. A source close to Pitt claimed the communications would prove Jolie had been "disingenuous since the start" regarding the sale. Jolie's attorney, Paul Murphy, stated they were "disappointed" by the ruling and plan to appeal, calling it part of Pitt's "years-long effort to harass and control her."

The ongoing Miraval dispute, for which a trial date is set for February 2027, has been a source of great stress for Pitt. "The long-drawn drama with Angelina used to really get to him, especially the custody drama and abuse allegations. It's been very stressful for him to have to defend over and over again," an insider shared.

For now, however, Brad Pitt appears to be embracing a quieter, more settled chapter of his life, celebrating personal milestones away from the spotlight and the courtroom.
