After a brief and challenging stint in the Australian jungle, former Arsenal footballer and BBC presenter Alex Scott has swapped bush tucker for beachside bliss on a romantic holiday in Thailand with her partner, pop star Jess Glynne.
From Campfire to Coastline
The 41-year-old, who was the first celebrity eliminated from the 25th series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, has jetted off for a restorative winter break. Sharing a series of Instagram posts on Thursday, Scott gave fans a glimpse into her sun-drenched escape, a world away from the hardships of the wilderness.
The couple have been exploring the highlights of south-east Asia, from the bustling streets of Bangkok to the idyllic shores of the Phi Phi Islands. In one playful shot, Scott and the 36-year-old singer are seen dancing on the coastline in bikinis, making the most of the soaring 26-degree heat.
A Holiday of Healing and Support
This holiday follows a deeply difficult period for the couple. Scott left the I'm A Celebrity process early to fly back to the UK and support Glynne after her mother, Alexandra, suffered a major stroke which required urgent brain surgery.
Celebrities are typically required to stay in Australia for the duration of the show, but ITV granted Scott special leave to return home. In an emotional interview, Scott revealed it was Glynne who insisted she still go on the show, despite the devastating family news. "Jess was like I want you to go on the show and do it for my mum," Scott said.
She spent her time in the jungle worried that if Glynne wasn't waiting for her at the famous jungle bridge after her exit, it would mean her mother's condition had worsened. Following her elimination, Glynne broke her silence on Instagram, explaining the serious, "life-altering" situation and why she couldn't be there to greet Scott.
Sightseeing and Sushi in Bangkok
Now reunited, their Thai holiday has been a chance to unwind and reconnect. The photos document a trip rich with culture and relaxation:
- They enjoyed traditional Thai food, including spring rolls and sushi, during an evening out.
- The couple visited iconic Bangkok landmarks like the stunning Wat Arun temple and the enormous Reclining Buddha.
- They explored the vibrant Chinatown district and mingled with street traders.
- Further images show them enjoying an al fresco lunch on the beach and taking in glorious sunsets on the picturesque coastline.
Captioning her holiday album, Scott simply wrote: 'Sun-kissed in Southeast Asia, Thailand, you’re unreal.' The trip marks a joyful new chapter for the pair after a tumultuous few months, proving that for Alex Scott and Jess Glynne, the focus is now firmly on sunshine, support, and shared adventures.
