Over 100 Arrested at Palestine Action Protest as Ban Upheld
Over 100 Arrested at Palestine Action Protest

More than 100 people have been arrested on suspicion of supporting Palestine Action after judges upheld the ban on the organization as a terror group. Protesters gathered outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London, where judges ruled that the decision to proscribe the group was lawful.

Police Response

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "We acknowledge the Court of Appeal’s judgment that the Home Secretary’s decision to proscribe Palestine Action was lawful. This means that expressing support for the organisation remains a criminal offence and officers will arrest those who break the law."

Officers policing the protest outside the Royal Courts of Justice on Monday, 15 June, arrested 117 people on suspicion of expressing support for a proscribed organisation. Additionally, two more people were arrested by City of London Police at a protest outside the Old Bailey.
