A woman has died after being discovered unconscious at the Resorts World entertainment complex in Solihull. Emergency services were called to the popular Birmingham destination yesterday afternoon, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency Response at the Scene
West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were alerted to an incident at an address near Pendigo Way at approximately 1.30pm on Saturday, December 28, 2025. The call concerned a person who was unresponsive.
A significant emergency presence, including three ambulances and a paramedic officer, was dispatched. "On arrival crews found a woman. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene," a spokeswoman for the ambulance service stated.
Police arrived shortly after, around 1.35pm, and confirmed the woman's death. A guest staying at the on-site Genting Hotel described seeing numerous police and ambulance vehicles at the complex during the afternoon.
Police Investigation and Coroner's Report
In an official statement, West Midlands Police confirmed that the woman's death is not being treated as suspicious. The force stated that a file is now being prepared for HM Coroner, which is standard procedure in such unexpected deaths.
"We were called to Pendigo Way, Solihull, at around 1.35pm yesterday (28 Dec) to reports that a person had been found unresponsive," the police statement read. "Sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. We are not treating her death as suspicious and a file will now be prepared for the coroner. Our thoughts remain with her loved ones and everyone who knew her."
