Three teenagers have made their first appearance at Leeds Crown Court, charged with the murder of 16-year-old Chloe Watson Dransfield. The defendants, Kayla Smith, 18, Archie Rycroft, 19, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of stabbing the victim to death in a street in the Austhorpe area of Leeds.
Details of the Tragic Incident and Court Proceedings
Chloe Watson Dransfield, from Gomersal, was discovered with fatal stab wounds on Kennerleigh Avenue in Austhorpe shortly before 6am on Saturday. Despite being rushed to hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries. During the court hearing, the defendants were remanded back into custody. Smith appeared from HMP New Hall, while Rycroft appeared from HMP Wetherby.
