A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage girls, including at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in Fulham, London. Alexander Fredericks admitted multiple offences, including sexual assault, assault by penetration, and witness intimidation, at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday.
The court heard that Fredericks targeted a 15-year-old girl in January 2022, sending messages she found 'weird'. He insisted on picking her up from school, travelled with her on the Tube, and kissed her against her wishes. In 2022, he sexually assaulted her in a secluded part of the Hurlingham Club, where he was a member, after pressuring her to drink alcohol and threatening to kill himself if she tried to leave.
Despite being blocked, Fredericks contacted the girl indirectly in August 2022, offering up to £900 for naked photographs and demanding she meet him at the club under threat of suicide. There, he again pressured her to drink, touched her stomach, and tried to kiss her, causing her to flee. After his arrest in October 2022, he falsely claimed police were taking no further action and threatened to sue her unless she corroborated his account.
In September 2022, Fredericks posed as a representative from Teen Vogue to lure a 17-year-old girl into a modelling shoot at a hotel. He gave her wine as a prop but pressured her to drink wine and vodka. After she became drunk, he photographed her topless and began masturbating. The victim said she was left with 'constant fear' that eroded her confidence.
Judge Adenike Balogun described the offences as 'serious' involving 'sexual exploitation and psychological domination' with 'devastating and long-lasting consequences'. Fredericks, who had previous convictions for similar offences, was also given a 10-year restraining order. His defence lawyer said he was 'absolutely appalled' and remorseful.
