Sharon Granite, a 45-year-old woman who was abducted from her home in a quiet suburban neighborhood, has been found dead, police confirmed on Tuesday. The discovery brings a tragic end to a week-long search that had gripped the community.

Granite was last seen on the evening of March 10, when she was forcibly taken from her residence. Neighbors reported hearing a commotion but initially dismissed it. When Granite failed to appear for work the next day, a missing person report was filed.
