Three boys and two men have been charged in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in Gravesend, Kent Police have confirmed.
Officers received reports on Tuesday that a girl had been raped at a private property in the town between 25 March and 19 April.
Ionut Dobre, 33, was charged with rape on Friday alongside two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, all from Gravesend. Benone Inofte, 46, was charged the same day with aiding and abetting a rape.
All five appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday and are next due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 May. Dobre and Inofte were remanded into custody, two of the boys were remanded into youth detention, and the third was released into the care of the local authority.
