A woman has been arrested following a serious crash in Essex involving an ambulance and a lorry that left several people injured. The collision occurred at the junction of the A13 and A130 in Bowers Gifford, causing the ambulance to flip onto its side.
Emergency services, including six ambulances, two paramedic cars, and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene. Five patients were assessed, and four were taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Police have arrested a woman in connection with the incident. Collision investigation officers were seen at the scene, and drivers were warned to expect delays in the area.
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that the ambulance was involved in a collision with one or more other vehicles. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
