Former Nickelodeon child star Kianna Underwood has died in a hit-and-run incident in Brooklyn, New York. The 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle and dragged underneath it along two streets.

The incident occurred just before 7am on Friday in the Brownsville neighbourhood. According to sources, Underwood is believed to have crossed into the street after leaving a bodega, and the driver may not have been aware of her presence.

Underwood rose to fame in 2005 on the Nickelodeon sketch show All That, which launched the careers of stars such as Amanda Bynes, Jamie-Lynn Spears, and Kenan Thompson. She also voiced a character on the animated series Little Bill, created by Bill Cosby, and appeared in the 1999 film The 24 Hour Woman alongside Rosie Perez and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
