Staffordshire Police have made a tragic discovery in the search for a woman who vanished on Christmas Day. Officers believe a body found in Hanley's Central Forest Park is that of missing 46-year-old Lisa Nixon from Stoke-on-Trent.

Lisa Nixon was last seen on Waterloo Road in Hanley at approximately 2.30pm on December 25. She was reported missing to police on January 3, sparking a widespread search operation across the local area.
The discovery of a body was made on Saturday afternoon within the grounds of Central Forest Park. While formal identification procedures are still pending, investigators have stated they believe the deceased to be the missing woman.
