Acid Murder Trial: Ex-Wife's Texts Revealed in Court

A murder trial at Winchester Crown Court has heard text messages between Danny Cahalane, who died in an acid attack, and his ex-wife Paris Wilson, who is among ten defendants charged with his murder. The 38-year-old was attacked at his home in Plymouth on February 21, 2025, and died on May 3, 2025.

Prosecutor Joanna Martin KC told the court that Cahalane was a drug dealer who owed a large sum of money to a drugs boss known as 'Frost', believed to be in Dubai. The texts, exchanged in January 2025, show Wilson warning Cahalane to 'genuinely be careful who you disrespect' and discussing potential payments from Frost for information on Cahalane's whereabouts.

In messages to her mother, Karen Wilson, Paris Wilson discussed Frost's offer of money and drugs in exchange for helping locate Cahalane. She also mentioned a scheme involving a container from South America or Mexico, suggesting a harbourmaster could be bribed to ignore it.
