Massive Search Operation in the English Channel

A major rescue mission is currently unfolding in the English Channel after a man was reported to have fallen from a luxury yacht off the coast of Brighton.

The incident occurred near the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm on the morning of November 30, 2025.

Coastguard Confirms Large-Scale Response

A spokesman for HM Coastguard confirmed that they were alerted at 10:19 am to a person overboard from a vessel situated off Newhaven.

In a swift and substantial response, multiple resources were immediately deployed to the scene to assist in the search effort.

Rescue Assets Scour the Area

The rescue fleet includes RNLI lifeboats from both Shoreham and Newhaven.

They have been joined by an HM Coastguard rescue helicopter and a fixed-wing aircraft to provide aerial support.

Furthermore, two nearby vessels in the vicinity have also been assisting with the search operation in the waters of the English Channel.
