Medics were called to the set of Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer after comedian Richard Herring suffered a kitchen injury during the latest episode. The incident occurred while Herring was slicing apples for the tarte tatin challenge.
Viewers heard an 'ouch' before the camera cut to Herring, who confirmed he had cut himself. Presenter Alison Hammond quipped, 'It's all going off, the medics are in,' as a medical professional treated the wound. Herring returned to baking with a bandaged finger.
The episode, aired on Sunday, March 29, featured contestants JoJo Siwa, Molly Mae Hague, Richard Herring, and Babatunde Aléshé. They were tasked with making decorated traybakes, tarte tatin, and biscuit recreations of childhood toys.
Molly Mae Hague impressed judge Paul Hollywood with her carrot patch traybake, earning a handshake, while Babatunde also received a handshake for his caramel traybake. Hague went on to win the episode, praised by Hollywood as the 'most consistent' across the three challenges.
The new series of Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer introduced pastry chef Cherish Finden as a guest judge, joining Paul Hollywood, Alison Hammond, and Noel Fielding.
