England's World Cup charter plane was previously part of ICE's deportation fleet under Donald Trump, according to reports. The Three Lions traveled to Missouri aboard an aircraft operated by GlobalX, a company contracted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for its 'ICE Air' program.
Plane's Controversial History
The same plane was used in a video released by President Trump in March 2025, showing alleged Venezuelan criminals being forcibly removed by El Salvadoran authorities. The aircraft had also been deployed to deport migrants to Haiti, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
While England's plane returned to Miami, other GlobalX aircraft continued routine deportation operations, including a flight from Guatemala City to Alexandria, Louisiana, where ICE operates a 400-bed facility.
Pre-Tournament Setbacks
England's preparations have been plagued by issues. Before their first training session, thieves stole boots belonging to key players like Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, along with training equipment and Thomas Tuchel's analysis tools. The theft occurred during transit from Florida to Missouri, with $18,000 (£13k) worth of items taken.
Despite winning friendlies against New Zealand and Costa Rica, the squad now faces logistical challenges ahead of their World Cup opener against Croatia on June 17 in Dallas.
Upcoming Fixtures
England are based in Kansas City but will play group stage matches in Dallas, Boston, and New Jersey, requiring further charter flights. The nearest venue, Dallas, is over an hour's flight away.
