Real Scottish Castle From Celebrity Traitors Revealed

The Traitors is back for a fourth series, with Claudia Winkleman and a new group of contestants returning to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands for another season of deceit and strategy. The 19th-century castle, designed in the Scottish Baronial style, serves as the primary filming location for the show, hosting roundtable eliminations, breakfast reveals, and some tasks.

Located north of Inverness, Ardross Castle has been the setting for the celebrity spin-off featuring Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Stephen Fry in 2025. Contestants stay in separate accommodation off-site, while many tasks take place in the surrounding countryside and estate grounds.

Host Claudia Winkleman has praised the beauty of the location, describing the Scottish Highlands as 'the most beautiful landscape' and recalling moments like a double rainbow and sightings of baby deer. The castle itself is not open to the public but can be hired exclusively for corporate and private events.

Ardross Castle has a rich history, having been owned by the 1st Duke of Sutherland, Sir Alexander Matheson, and businessman C. W. Dyson Perrins before being acquired by the McTaggart family in 1983. The family has since developed the gardens and buildings on the estate.
