Inside the £80m Titania Superyacht: Massage Rooms & Michelin Chef
Inside the £80m Titania Superyacht with Michelin Chef

A stunning new documentary has pulled back the curtain on one of the planet's most exclusive superyachts, the £80 million Titania, offering a rare glimpse into a world of unparalleled luxury. The Channel 4 programme, Inside the World's Most Luxurious Yachts, which aired on Monday at 8pm, revealed the extraordinary features and opulent lifestyle aboard the vessel owned by Phones4u founder, billionaire John Caudwell.

A Floating Palace of Opulence

Stretching an impressive 73 metres and named after the Queen of the Fairies from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the Titania is described as the absolute peak of super-rich sailing. The yacht boasts six expansive decks, finished with rich woods and sumptuous fabrics, and offers those on board breathtaking panoramic views of Monaco. Among its many lavish amenities are multiple massage rooms, a sleek glass elevator, and a dedicated Michelin-trained chef.

The vessel includes two state-of-the-art owner suites, one of which comes complete with a private health salon and its own personal lounge. For entertainment, there are nine distinct dining and lounge areas, with the main salon housing a magnificent £100,000 Steinway grand piano. "This is where often we have musicians perform for us," John Caudwell noted during the documentary. "They're not brought in musicians - they're often friends like Robbie Williams."

The Ultimate Charter Experience

Despite being the owner, the 73-year-old Caudwell admits he can only visit his magnificent boat once or twice a year. For the remainder of the time, the Titania is available for charter by wealthy VIPs for an eye-watering £600,000 per week. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests across five en-suite staterooms, allowing them to bask in the beauty of the French Riviera.

Ensuring every trip is unforgettable is an impressive 21-strong crew, who deliver a hyper-personalised, seven-star service. Every detail is meticulously planned, from displaying family photographs to arranging fresh flower deliveries. The documentary followed Caudwell, his long-term partner Modesta Vžesniauskaitė, 42, and their children as they experienced this exceptional service firsthand.

The culinary experience is helmed by Michelin-trained head chef Tom, who has nearly a decade of professional cooking experience. His team prioritises freshly sourced ingredients, from the finest caviar to the best Champagne, often meeting extremely high demands at a moment's notice.

Perfection in Every Detail

For recreation, guests have access to a fully-equipped gym, Pilates instructors, and beauticians. The yacht even features a beach club at its stern, stocked with £200,000 worth of watersports equipment, including jet skis. "I don't seek luxury weirdly... I seek perfection, I seek quality," Caudwell explained. "This is quality... because of the service and the fact that there is every facility you could ever dream of."

Although he seldom gets to enjoy the vessel himself, Caudwell is deeply involved in its upkeep, having recently invested more than £10 million in refurbishments. His meticulous attention to detail has paid off, making the Titania the "most successful charter in its category." Furthermore, the revenue from chartering the yacht helps fund his significant philanthropy work, as he has pledged to give 70% of his wealth to charity, with a particular focus on helping children.
