Disneyland Paris Unveils World of Frozen: A €Multi-Billion Nordic Kingdom
Disneyland Paris' World of Frozen: New Details Revealed

Disney fans across Europe have been enchanted by footage of a walking, talking Olaf, but that charming snowman is just the beginning of the magic awaiting at Disneyland Resort Paris. The resort is preparing to unveil its most ambitious project yet: the World of Frozen, a fully immersive, life-sized kingdom of Arendelle set to open on 29th March 2026.

Step Into a Living Fairytale

The heart of this multi-billion euro expansion is a breathtakingly accurate recreation of the village from Disney's Frozen. Disney's Imagineers have meticulously built cobbled streets, Nordic-inspired architecture, and sparkling water fountains, making it appear as if the film set has been transported to France. At its centre stands a clock tower where miniature figures of Anna and Elsa perform Do You Want to Build a Snowman? every quarter of an hour.

Dominating the skyline is the 36-metre-high North Mountain, home to the Frozen Ever After musical boat ride. This is also where guests will have the unique chance to meet Elsa, Anna, and the park's headline act: a fully interactive, life-sized Olaf animatronic that waddles and converses with visitors. This innovative feature is a world-first for any Disney park globally.

Exclusive Innovations and Nighttime Spectaculars

The exclusives continue into the gift shop, where guests can purchase Rúna, an interactive animatronic troll doll for around 70 euros. Similar to a high-tech Furby, Rúna reacts not only to its owner but also to specific locations and attractions throughout the World of Frozen, with Disney keeping the exact trigger points a closely guarded secret.

When dusk falls, the park will present the Disney Cascade of Lights, a revolutionary 360-degree nighttime show. This spectacle is a first for Disney, combining nearly 400 aquatic drones—specially designed for Parisian weather—with choreographed fountains, water screens, and pyrotechnics, all set to a powerful orchestral score. The best views may be from the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, Disneyland Paris's first bar, where guests can dine with Disney Princesses.

More Magic Beyond Arendelle

While Frozen is the centrepiece, the expansion includes other attractions. Visitors can also look forward to the Raiponce Tangled Spin, a whimsical teacup-style ride set in Rapunzel's world. Furthermore, the Snowflower Festival, a vibrant river parade featuring Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, is scheduled to run multiple times daily.

With its unprecedented animatronics, interactive merchandise, and groundbreaking shows, the World of Frozen represents a monumental leap for Disneyland Paris. It promises to be a destination where both children and adults can truly rediscover their sense of wonder when the gates to Arendelle swing open in 2026.
