Arsenal supporters are facing astronomical expenses if they wish to attend the Champions League final later this month. The Gunners secured their place in Budapest after overcoming Atletico Madrid.
Costly Travel and Accommodation
Mikel Arteta's side drew 1-1 away before Bukayo Saka's goal proved decisive at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Arsenal will now prepare for the final at the Puskas Arena on Saturday, May 30. However, attending the match in person will require significant financial outlay.
The cheapest round-trip flights from London to Hungary exceed £900, with prices expected to climb. Accommodation is equally daunting: around 90% of hotel reservations on Booking.com have already been taken. The most affordable options are hostels at roughly £250 per person, while some hotel rooms command a staggering £12,000.
Ticket Prices
Tickets for the final are also steep. 'Fan first' seats cost just over £60, while category three and two tickets are £155 and £560 respectively. Category one tickets reach an eye-watering £819. Restricted view tickets, offered by UEFA, are priced at £120, £448, and £655, hardly budget-friendly.
Speaking after the victory, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said: "It's an incredible night. We made history again together. I cannot be happier and prouder of everyone involved. The atmosphere our supporters created was special and unique."
Before the final, Arsenal aim to secure their first Premier League title since 2004. They currently lead the table by five points over Manchester City, with matches against West Ham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace remaining.
Arsenal will learn their final opponents on Wednesday evening, with Paris Saint-Germain leading Bayern Munich 5-4 on aggregate.
