UK Fashion Chain Quiz to Close All Remaining Stores This Month
Quiz to Close All Remaining 37 Stores in UK This Month

Quiz, a major UK fashion chain, is set to close its remaining 37 standalone stores across the country after entering administration for the second time in less than a year. The company, which collapsed on February 5, 2026, will shut all outlets by the end of June, marking its complete disappearance from the high street.

Store Closure Timeline

The Basingstoke branch at Festival Place has already closed its doors. The Carlisle and Eastbourne outlets were expected to shut at midday on June 14, while the Watford store is due to close on June 16, followed by Clydebank on June 17 and Irvine on June 19. Portsmouth is expected to close on June 20, with Castleford anticipated to follow around the same time.

Administration Details

Administrators Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs of Interpath Advisory are managing the wind-down. Quiz had been enduring a tough start to 2026, according to those overseeing the process. The chain first fell into administration in February 2025 before being rescued in a pre-pack deal by a subsidiary of the founding Ramzan family.

Quiz concessions in New Look and Matalan stores across the UK are not part of the administration process and will continue to trade as normal.

Staff Impact

Quiz has not confirmed exactly how many staff will be affected by the closures, though more than 100 head office and warehouse jobs were at risk when the company first entered administration.

Statements from Administrators

Alistair McAlinden, head of Interpath in Scotland and joint administrator, said: 'As we head into the May bank holiday weekend, we would encourage shoppers to visit their local store as we commence our final closing down sale.'

Geoff Jacobs, managing director at Interpath and fellow joint administrator, said: 'We'd once again like to say a huge thank you to Quiz staff who have shown such dedication and professionalism under difficult circumstances.'
