Several Quiz stores are reportedly set to close this weekend as administrators continue to wind down the collapsed fashion retailer's bricks and mortar estate.
Weekend Closures
Administrators from Interpath Advisory, who were appointed in February, are understood to be continuing to shutter stores across the country, having previously announced plans to close all 37 high street stores by the end of this month.
Drapers understands that in recent weeks, several stores have pulled down the shutters for good, including Aberdeen, Inverness, Warrington, Basingstoke, Bracknell and Dunfermline. Four more closures are said to have been confirmed to take place across the coming weekend, the outlet reports.
These include:
- Hanley - closing Saturday, June 13
- Mansfield - closing Saturday, June 13
- Carlisle – closing Sunday, June 14
- Eastbourne – closing Sunday, June 14
Stock at the four stores has been reduced by between 70 and 80% as administrators look to get rid of any remaining items.
Further Closures
Quiz's Northampton store could also serve customers for the final time this weekend if remaining stock is sold, with further closures expected next week.
These reportedly include:
- Watford – Tuesday, June 16
- Clydebank – Wednesday, June 17
- Irvine – Thursday, June 19
- Portsmouth – Friday, June 20
- Leicester – expected to be closed by the end of next week
Drapers says staff have said the closure of the Castleford branch could take place around Saturday, June 20, though a date hasn't been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Quiz's Hull and Livingston stores are expected to close within two weeks, and before the end of June, respectively.
Closures that are expected but don't have a confirmed date include:
- Merry Hill
- Sheffield
- Derby
- Newtownabbey
- Braehead
- Manchester Arndale
- Trafford Centre
- Stirling
- Telford
- Lakeside
- Norwich
- Newry
Concessions Unaffected
Quiz concessions in New Look and Matalan stores in the UK aren't included in the administration and remain unaffected.
Interpath said previously Quiz had suffered amid tough trading conditions in 2025, with sales weaker than expected over the crucial Christmas season.
“In addition, Quiz had to contend with strong economic headwinds including changing consumer habits, cost pressures from business rates and the recent increases to employment costs,” the firm added.
Quiz looked at options to secure its future, including additional funding, but efforts failed, Interpath said.
