H&M has launched a new stoneware collection that bears a striking resemblance to the popular, pricier designs from Denby, but with prices starting from just £4.99. The range includes mugs, vases, and serving bowls with reactive glazes and muted hues, offering an affordable alternative to the Derbyshire-based brand known for its durable hand-crafted ceramics.
The collection taps into a growing trend for traditional craftsmanship, as noted by interiors expert Rosie Gangar. “With most of us living such digitised lives, we're seeing a revival of traditional craftsmanship, be it hand-painted ceramics, hand-turned woodwork, hand-blown glass or hand-dyed or hand-woven textiles,” she said.
Key pieces include a reactive-glaze stoneware mug (£4.99), a stoneware matcha mug (£6.99) in stone, light grey, and forest green, and a set of four handleless mugs (£24). Matching plates (£34.99) and bowls (£24.99) feature a reactive-glaze effect similar to Denby’s ‘halo glaze’. For matcha enthusiasts, a set with a spouted bowl, tea cup, and whisk holder is available for £24.99.
Beyond tableware, the collection offers vases (£14.99), serving bowls (£34.99), and plant pots with saucers (£34.99) that can elevate any room. The entire range is available online at H&M.
