Bunnings Partners with Uber Eats for Under-60-Minute Hardware Deliveries
Bunnings Joins Uber Eats for Fast Hardware Deliveries

Bunnings, the renowned hardware giant, is set to revolutionise home improvement shopping by partnering with Uber Eats to offer delivery in under 60 minutes. This move follows a successful trial in Melbourne in January, which has paved the way for a staged rollout across 15 key Australian locations. Customers will soon have access to more than 30,000 products at in-store prices, ranging from DIY tools and garden gear to power washers, chairs, mops, pet food, and even lawnmowers.

Convenience Meets Speed in Retail Innovation

Ryan Baker, Bunnings' chief operating officer, emphasised the balance between in-store experience and modern convenience. He stated, 'While many customers enjoy browsing in-store, there are times when convenience and speed are the priority.' This partnership aims to cater to those urgent needs, whether for last-minute repairs or impromptu projects.

Uber Eats Expands Beyond Food Delivery

Lucas Groeneveld, Uber Eats APAC regional general manager, highlighted the service's focus on 'everyday essentials' for the home. He explained, 'From last-minute DIY fixes and garden projects, to preparing for a BBQ or keeping a work site moving, this partnership makes it easier than ever for customers to get what they need, delivered on demand, whatever the occasion.' This initiative marks another step in Uber Eats' diversification from food delivery into grocery and retail, building on existing partnerships with outlets like Pet Barn, Officeworks, and EB Games.
