Mohamed Salah has three key demands for his next club after confirming his departure from Liverpool. The Egyptian star, who will be without a team for next season as he heads to the World Cup, is expected to be selective about his next move.
Salah's three conditions
According to reports, Salah wants a financial package that reflects his market value. He has already rejected one offer from the Saudi Pro League that was lower than what was previously proposed before he renewed his Liverpool contract. The 33-year-old also seeks a contract of up to three years to ensure stability in the latter stages of his career. Crucially, he wants to join a team capable of challenging for major titles, not merely participating in a new league.
Liverpool exit and Slot's departure
Salah announced his exit from Anfield in March, despite having a year left on his contract. His decision followed a difficult relationship with head coach Arne Slot, who was sacked less than a week after the season ended. Salah had publicly criticised Slot and called for Liverpool to return to the 'heavy metal attacking' style under Jurgen Klopp. Slot was replaced by Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, who promised to bring intensity and aggression to the team.
World Cup and future club
Salah is currently at the World Cup with Egypt without a club for next season. Speculation suggests he could move to the Saudi Pro League, having previously rejected a £150 million bid in 2023. His demands reflect a desire for a competitive environment that matches his ambitions.
