Scottish TikToker of the Year 2025 Revealed

Scotland's most influential TikTok creator for 2025 has been officially named, with a multi-talented artist taking the top spot for his captivating celebration of the nation's heritage.

A Storyteller's Digital Triumph

Kenny Boyle, a 41-year-old actor, novelist, and playwright known on the platform as @kennyboyleofficial, has secured first place in the prestigious annual ranking. The list, compiled by leading Scottish PR agency Spey, part of the Muckle Media Group, identifies the ten most impactful Scots on the social media giant.

Boyle, who boasts 137,500 followers, achieved a remarkable engagement rate of 24.77%. This metric, which measures how often his content is liked and shared relative to views, was the highest among his fellow Scottish creators, indicating his unique ability to connect with a global audience.

Celebrating Scotland's Rich Heritage

In response to the accolade, Boyle expressed his profound honour in sharing Scotland's stories with the world. "I love Scotland, and I love sharing stories about Scotland’s culture, language, and incredibly rich and totally fascinating folklore and mythology," he stated.

He emphasised the importance of his mission, adding, "It’s a true honour sharing these stories with the world and making sure our spoken word folklore and traditions live on in the digital age, and I’m grateful every day for the people who come to hear them."

The Top Scots on TikTok

The ranking, which utilised data from influencer marketing platform Modash, revealed a dynamic mix of content creators. Securing second place was lifestyle creator Eddie Fade Walker (@eddiefadewalker), who commands an engagement rate of 19.47% across his 241,000 followers.

In third position was fashion and lifestyle influencer Zara McIntosh (@whatzaraloves6), with a 16.24% engagement rate from her 130,500 followers. The top five was completed by singer-songwriter Calum Bowie and cosplayer Millie Graham, while last year's winner, author and tour guide Bryan Millar Walker, placed eighth.

Industry Recognition and Strategic Value

Nathalie Agnew, Managing Director of the Muckle Media Group, praised the selection. "Rounding up the top Scots on TikTok has become an activity we look forward to every year at Spey," she said, noting the aptness of crowning a creator dedicated to Scottish culture.

"From spotlighting tales of Scottish folklore to bringing attention to Scottish traditions, Kenny’s content is a celebration of everything that makes Scotland unique," Agnew added. She highlighted the commercial significance of such authentic influencers, stating that authentic partnerships consistently deliver the strongest results for brands in digital campaigns.

Ryan Prior, Head of Marketing at Modash, observed the healthy mix in the rankings, saying, "It is great to see a mixture of new and returning names, with creators like Kenny massively growing in popularity, and familiar faces like Eddie and Millie staying consistent year on year."

The announcement, made on Monday 29 December 2025, underscores the growing power of digital creators in shaping cultural narratives and engaging audiences with authentic, locally-rooted content on a global stage.
