Former Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke has relocated his family to the countryside, months after reports emerged that he and his husband owed £25,000 in rent on their former home. The 39-year-old reality TV star, along with his husband Gareth, 37, and their twins Apollo and Cosima, have left their rented property in Barnes for a rural life on the south coast.
Locke shared a video on social media showing his family departing from Waterloo station, captioning it: "After 20 years and a million adventures I've decided to live my childhood dream and move to the countryside." He added: "We rode out of Waterloo for the very last time as Londoners and from Chelsea to chickens, I'm now an uncle to seven chicks and the kids adore them."
The move comes after reports that the couple were evicted from their Barnes home for failing to pay rent, with debts reportedly rising to £45,000 after legal costs and late fees. Locke had previously told Hello! magazine of plans to move to Oxfordshire, saying: "We want a converted barn!"
In a past interview with the Daily Mail, Locke revealed he sold his former home to fund surrogacy and IVF, which cost £500,000. He said: "We wanted these children so desperately, but we didn't expect to go through four years because of Covid and all the laws."
Friends and former co-stars have supported the move, with Cheska Hull commenting: "Love you so much! It's going to be the best adventure ever!" and Celebs Go Dating star Anna Williamson adding: "Welcome to the countryside. It’ll be the best decision you ever made darling."
