Beauty Clinic Owner's Transphobic Comments Spark Online Feud and Review Bombing
Clinic Boss in Transphobic Row Sparks Online Backlash

A heated online dispute has erupted between a beauty clinic owner and a transgender influencer, resulting in significant backlash against the business and raising important conversations about trans rights in the digital age.

The Controversial Comments That Started It All

The conflict began when Mitch Greer, a 25-year-old Sydney-based transgender model with 90,000 followers, shared a video discussing her dating life. In the video, Greer explained that she exclusively dates men and addressed questions about whether men who date her would be considered gay.

"I know it is going to be a big shock to everyone, but I'm actually not a lesbian," Greer stated. "I'm only into men. Always have been, always will be." She expressed confidence in her identity and relationships, noting that the straight men she dates are comfortable with their sexuality.

While most responses were supportive, Kassane Metrodora, owner of Captivate Clinic on the NSW Central Coast, used her business Instagram account to challenge Greer's gender identity directly on her post.

The Clinic Owner Doubles Down

Metrodora's initial comment sparked immediate outrage, with many followers expressing shock that she was sharing such views from a business account. Rather than apologising, the clinic owner intensified her position through multiple videos and further comments.

"You actually can't be a lesbian, chook," Metrodora wrote. "You date men who like men who refer to themselves as a woman and have transitioned to the other sex they weren't originally born with at birth."

She later added: "There isn't anything wrong with that I have said. It's not hate - it's facts. I'm not condoning delusional statements, I am condoning facts."

Metrodora continued to elaborate on her views, stating: "A trans woman is simply a man who lives as a woman by choice. A straight man is a man who dates biological women. That's a fact."

Backlash and Business Consequences

The online community responded swiftly, with supporters of Greer flooding Metrodora's Toukley-based business with negative Google reviews. The clinic's rating plummeted to an average of 1.5 stars from more than 100 reviews within days.

One review stated: "Absolutely appalling. Do not support this business. Owner is using their business page via Instagram to harass people in the LGBTQIA+ community." Another criticised the "extremely outdated views on genders/trans/sexuality."

Metrodora fought back against the criticism, claiming she was being "bullied" and that the reviews were fake. She reported spending Wednesday attempting to have the negative reviews removed from Google, later confirming some success but noting that positive reviews had also been lost in the process.

Despite the controversy, Metrodora claimed the situation had actually generated new business for her clinic and continued to post videos, including one featuring a chart categorising "facts" and "delusions."

When contacted by Daily Mail, Metrodora declined to comment, stating simply: "Well I don't consent to the story being published, so I don't have anything to say."

Greer told Daily Mail she was surprised by the public comments and referenced healthcare regulations: "The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has an anti-discrimination and equal opportunity policy that ensures all feel safe and accepted within the healthcare system. This business owner is in direct breach of this policy."

The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by transgender individuals and the powerful impact of social media in amplifying both supportive and discriminatory voices in contemporary discussions about gender identity.
