Remove Limescale from Shower Screens with Homemade 2-Ingredient Spray
Remove Limescale with Homemade 2-Ingredient Spray

Shower screens will be limescale-free with a homemade two-ingredient spray. A TikTok cleaner has shared how to remove stubborn limescale from shower screens with an easy homemade solution.

Limescale is a headache that plagues countless bathrooms across the country, particularly in hard water areas. It builds up when minerals such as calcium and magnesium are left behind as water evaporates, leaving behind cloudy white marks and a stubborn residue on surfaces.

Shower screens are amongst the most obvious places for limescale and watermarks to take hold, given their constant exposure to water and steam. Over time, these unsightly marks can leave glass screens looking grimy and lacklustre.

Thankfully, one cleaner has revealed their trusted technique for banishing these marks for good.

Posting on TikTok, @necleaningsolutionsltd shared a straightforward step-by-step video demonstrating how to tackle limescale-covered shower screens. The video caption read: "Limescale tips and tricks to get your shower screens looking brand new."

First, the cleaner combines two natural ingredients — white vinegar and washing-up liquid — in a 1:1 ratio, reports the Express.

This solution is then loaded into a Dishmatic cleaning tool, which is used to apply and scrub the mixture across the shower glass.

Once the screen has been thoroughly scrubbed, a non-scratch pad is used to give it an additional gentle going-over.

The cleaner then simply rinses the screen, leaving it completely free of limescale.

To maintain that sparkling finish, she also runs a squeegee over the shower to dry it off, stopping watermarks from making an unwelcome return.

Finally, a window and glass cleaner was used alongside some kitchen roll to buff and shine the screen.

There are plenty of brands available on the market, though Astonish was the product featured in the clip and can be picked up for around £1.

The video racked up more than 160,000 views, with TikTok users delighted by the straightforward hack.

One comment read: "Honestly, washing up liquid and white vinegar are the elitist cleaning products and so cheap."

Another wrote: "This absolute best," while a third commented that the results were "amazing."
