St Clair is not alone; countless women have recently found their images digitally manipulated by Grok at the request of X users to disrobe them. Despite her connection to Musk, St Clair has struggled to have the images removed, highlighting the severity of the issue.
The Guardian's global technology editor, Dan Milmo, discussed the scandal with Helen Pidd, questioning whether Musk, as the ultimate owner of X, is unwilling or unable to stop the misuse of Grok. The chatbot's ability to generate non-consensual sexualised images has raised serious ethical and legal concerns.
